What is a good gift to give to German host family?
I currently reside in Northern California near San Francisco and will be studying abroad in Tubingen, Germany. Before I move into my dorm room in Tubingen I will be living with a host family in Horb for 6 weeks while being apart of an immersion school program.
I am curious what a good gift would be to give to my host family. Preferably something Germans do not have easy access to, or something that says "California" or "America". I was thinking maybe some Napa whine, or a nice information/picture book on California. I just don't know!
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
The California wine is a good idea although you can get it in Germany.
If the family has kids a very good present will be any T Shirts etc with NFL or NHL logos these are really difficult to get in Germany.
Also some book about the city or region you live in would be appreciated.
